Innovative indoor location measurement: Precise direction finding using Bluetooth 5.1 and Raspberry Pi LocationX AOA Locator

I would like to introduce the product we developed this time. The core technology is the ability to find the BLE Tag and indicate the direction using the BLE AOA Locator.

Bluetooth Angle of Arrival (AoA) locator device for indoor positioning system providers.

The device includes 16 bilinear polarized patch antennas and an integrated circuit for Bluetooth AoA Constant Tone Extension (CTE) sampling.

Antenna switch included.

This device performs I/Q sampling of CTE advertising packets transmitted from Bluetooth AoA tags.

I/Q data is processed to calculate and output angles including azimuth and elevation output.

These output angles are transmitted to the host through the UART interface.

In a typical setup, the device is connected to a PC and used with demo PC software to determine the orientation of the AoA tag.

Function

  • Bluetooth Low Energy 5.1 Angle-of-Arrival (AoA) Locator

  • Operating frequency: 2400-2483 MHz

  • AoA Antenna Array Board

  • Azimuth, altitude output

Field application

  • Bluetooth 5.1 angle of coverage, wireless direction finding

  • Bluetooth indoor positioning system

Design

  • Size: 180.5 x 180.5 x 60mm(h)

  • Weight: 550g

  • Color: Gray

  • Input voltage: DC 5V

  • Output interface: Serial (UART, communication speed: 921600)

The global indoor positioning market continues to grow, and the need for these technologies will only increase in the future.

This product stands out from the competition through its unique functionality and ease of use.

Ease of use and high accuracy enable practical application in a variety of environments.

Highlights its need and importance within the market.
